
Known for her appearances on the Food Network television channel, Anne Burrell passed away at her home in New York on Tuesday (17), according to the network. The cause of death was not disclosed.
Anne Burrell made her debut on the Food Network in 2005, in the series “Iron Chef of America,” as sous chef for Iron Chef Mario Batali.
She also hosted the programs “Secrets of a Restaurant Chef” and “Worst Cooks in America.”
“Secrets of a Restaurant Chef” aired from 2008 to 2012 with nine seasons, earning two Emmy nominations, including one for Best Host of a Lifestyle and Culinary Program.
“Worst Cooks in America” was also hosted by Anne Burrell, who guided a group of amateur cooks through a culinary boot camp in a lighthearted series.

Anne Burrell is survived by her mother, Marlene, her sister, Jane, and her husband, Stuart Claxton, whom she married in October 2021, as well as Claxton’s son, Javier.
“Her smile lit up every room she entered. Anne’s light went far beyond the people she knew, touching millions around the world,” the family said in a statement.
